Those rifles are so much fun! Mr. Green

To bad they loose a lot of power due to the probeless system... Neutral

How do you like those Sam Yang pointed pellets?
In my 25+ years of airgunning, I have never been
able to get any accuracy out of pointed pellets.
They are just too out of balance.

I have found the Eun Jin domes on the other hand to be
good out to 180-200 yards.

Broom, they also suffer, like all revolvers, powder or air,
from air leaking to varying degrees between the ends of the
cylinder, transfer port and breech. This sometimes, causes
different amounts of air to be introduced into the barrel
each firing cycle. Which causes velocity inconsistencies.

I have a friend down in
Mexico that has one. It was quite involved, but we o-ringed
the front and rear of the cylinder to eliminate the problem.
It really tightened up the 100+ yard groups.

broommaster2000- Ummm huh?? Are you refering to the revolver magazine? If so, I have tested it with a small piece of tissue over the magazine to see if there was any 'puff'. Nothing that I could see. If there is, it did not seem to affect the accuracy. It might bother me down the road when I pick up a chrony and start nitpicking over spreads or stretch it out to the 75-100 yd ranges. I could see where there would be a problem if there was considerable wear on the contacting surfaces. Would some silicone help to smooth the trouble areas?

cw- They shot well for me. I think I only shot 1 magazine of them so I cant tell the difference yet. Most of my shots were trying to sight in the Centerpoint. After about 2 mags I found out the mounts were moving. The screws were tight but I still got movement on the rear mount/groove. Oh well I bought new mounts today and will try them out.

Good info on the cylinder. Id be interested in seeing some pics if you have some. Looking at the cylinder there is little room for the likes of an o-ring. You must have had a hell of a time cutting the grooves! Did you also have to deck the cylinder to get it to fit back in the slot? If so did it affect the loading of the longer pellets?

Kanyon- In this "corner" of Polynesia we say "Cuz, pump yo brakes" or "You betta quit smokin dat $#!%" Mr. Green

I wasn't talking about leaking. The pellet doesn't sit in the grooved barrel, it's pushed in by the air behind the pellet. This costs a bit more energy in comparison to when the rifle is pushed inside the barrel by a probe. There are also sidelever and bolt action versions on the market of this rifle, named the Blizzard. Aside from the silly name, they're a bit more "fuel-efficient".

I know they're accurate. I've been shooting one a week ago and wondered why everyone had such a bad opinion on them, other then that they're rather thirsty for air. You can't blame them for that, doing 60 Fpe, or 80, as that's optional over here. Cocking goes just great with that revolver action, hell yeah. Mr. Green

Very decently accurate, Samyang/Evanix make pretty good barrels.

Broommaster2000- I see what you mean. I also feel they are a little thirsty for air. I watched the manometer drop very quickly as the shot count progressed.
As far as the bad opinions, I couldnt find an overwhelming amount of bad reviews. Although if you just went by posts in other forums you would think otherwise. I 'Googled' until my head spun when I found one for sale locally. I was off and on about it for some time. I read every opinion, review, description, and watched videos that I could find about the AR6. In the end it had everything I was looking for. Power, accuracy, multi-shot, and looks. So far it has not disappointed me.

In the Netherlands, people tend to buy something closer to home. The reason these guns are notorious, is because some older versions seemed to lack decent quality control (most guns were good but some real bad once in a while, valve breaking, that sort of stuff), or innacuracy, well, any problem you could think of, I've seen it all, but that got better the last couple of years.

The AR6 is one of the Airguns that seems to have a bit more soul then others though. Mr. Green
