hope that wasnt too many pics to upload at one time.
initial impression.... WOW!!!! this is one solidly build rifle!!!
my scuba tank adapter was one of the few items not in the box, so it was off to unpack the benji hand pump..... NEVER again!!! filling that bottle to 210 bar from empty was a workout!!! it took almost 600 strokes to get it filled!!
between pumping sessions, i unpacked the laser and the bi-pod, got those mounted up in no time, grabbed the magazine it came with and the extra i ordered. loaded the first with the Eun Jins and the secind with Gamo Hunters.
mount up a 3x9-32 leapers i had in the shooting box with a BSA adjustable mount.
FINALLY get the bottle filled, take it outside, slide the magazine with the Eun Jins in..... and it wont chamber.... try several times... read the manual AGAIN... but still wont chamber a pellet. i drop that magazine out, load up the one with the Gamos... and .... "snick"... pellet loaded. take aim at a cardboard target with a quarter size circle and shoot.... NOT EVEN ON THE PAPER!!! LOL i start adjusting the BSA mount...... and get to the end of its adjustments and i'm still nowhere near the paper!! off that mount comes and on goes a set of med. beeman rings i have.
takes me all of 16 shots to get the scope zeroed at my usual 30 yards.
the very first thing i notice is that all i hear is the hammer and the pellet hitting the target! this thing is QUIET!!!! because of it being so quiet, i thought at first that it wasnt very powerful... its very deceiving!!! this thing has power to spare!!!
second thing i notice is that the cocking lever is VERY stiff, 16 shots and i have a new blister!!
third thing i notice.... this rifle is BEGGING me to make a set of rosewood grips and foregrip... with some carbon fiber inlays!!! |

Very nice!
It came down to the the same gun or the talon for me. I ended up going with the talon. At the time the main reason was the price difference. I'm very happy with the talon. I'm sure you'll be very happy with this too.
FWIW - I've encountered a few folks who had some issues with these. Of course I've also encounted folks with issues with the airforce guns :-).
If you haven't already - read up so that you know what to watch out for. |

yea, i've read about people complaining that it jams alot, i think thats a cause of them not closing the bolt all the way, pulling the trigger, and trying to cycle it again.
i looked at the talon and the condor, for me it came down to noise. i wanted a quiet gun out of the box. |

I love it. It looks so militant. The bipod, the scope and that fat barrel. Very nice!
Post some pics in this thread of your paper. I always like seeing the end results. |

I can see why you guys buy your pellets in multiple containers at a time with those semiautos.
I just gotta say this...your fat barrel is phat! |

What is a straight pull action? |

Straight pull means that you don't have to move the bolt around to cock the gun. You can just pull the bolt towards yourself to cock the rifle without pushing it up first.
Another common straight pull system is utilized on Biathlon rifles.
Streight pull as on a repeating rifle:

So, you pull it back and then release it with no other movements needed in order to cock it.
Where as with a bolt action, you lift, pull back, push forward and then back down into the locked position.
Am I getting it? |
