No it's not.

The Webley Patriot was one of the more respectable rifles on the market until they moved production to Turkey. Now they suck.

But that's my opinion, I think they're not doing a great job at producing good value to money airguns.

I think you'd better of with a Beeman R9.

2 of my mates have Hatsans a M85 & M70 both 1.77
same gun diffrent stocks.
they are ok shooters but I have heard
the M125 & M135 eat there springs and lose
power after 2000 shots or so.
something has got to give with that much punch
from a springer.
I have no probs with Hatsans I will own one as
soon as I come across a M85 in .22

I've a hankering for the Hatson 155 Torpedo.
Your friends(mates) may have been using pellets that were too light for the power of there guns - very light pellets are real spring killers just as very heavy pellets are.

Good luck with your new rifle!

If you're gonna go trough with it, at least get it in .22, or .25. Put some nice and heavy pellets in there and if it breaks down, put a spring from a better brand in there.

The problem is that more and more it seems we have to deal with airguns moving to Turky or China....oh well. Soon they'll own us all anyway if congress keeps trying to spend us out of debt. I wonder if it would help my credit card debt if I got a few more cards and charged them all way up?

I may get a chinese gun after all...sigh.

Well, Pal, that's the point. We don't. Neutral

Allthough stuff has been looking up just a little. Some Turkish manufacturers DO make rather good guns. Not specifically airguns, but there are some shotgun manufacturers that do a pretty good job. I wish they would put that effort into airguns... Neutral

Oh, I've got a .25 Falcon and it's a good rifle. The problem is that "so far" they tend to run hot and cold. I suspect that as time goes on the quality will get more uniform. It still doesn't temper my regret for the loss of quality airguns from "the west". It's all mostly based on economics. I've got a .25 Stingray made in England before Webley & Scott changed hands. I keep looking at the Tech Force stuff from China. I find mixed reports on them to. Some people hate them others swear that the new TF *** whatever is the best rifle they ever had.

I just regret the loss of mfg. in our countries as a whole. Days gone by I'm afraid, at least unless people come to their senses.

But to go back to the start, I really like my Falcon and freely admitt it's a great rifle...I don't regret good rifles from elsewhere, I simply regret the lack of good air rifles from here.

Let's not forget that most people who buy an airgun just buy it for fun, and are generally morons.

The only difference is, that we are morons that are actually interested in these things. Mr. Green

I see a lot of guys selling the Falcon Hunter used and hear many stories about scope slip problems. But you hardly see anyone selling a used Bam gun. I have tuned a few B26's and a few B21/30's. They clean up nice and are very good shooters. The B50/51 series almost always need some work, to be expected from a cheap PCP gun. I sold my cousin my B26 and regret it almost everytime I shoot now...and all my guns are HW's! 'Cept for my 850...but German none the less!
