| I've always wondered why 1 would cost more than the other. Is there any difference in Crosman Phantoms/Quests/Storms besides price? I suspect that the internal parts may be made of more costly materials. |

Alphakilla:
Welcome to AirGunHome!
The Crosman models mentioned have mechanics that are near identical. See Crosman's web site for model C1K77 part numbers.
However, volume production of the plastic stocked Phantom could keep its price lower than the wood stocked Quest. The Storm is a Quest variant that was (as I understand it) originally intended for marketing through WalMart and with a less expensive scope than normally accompanying a Quest. The differences allow for varying price/marketing points.
Recently, I've seen "remanufactured" Storms advertised by Dunhams sporting goods priced in the range of $69.99 to $79.99.
Hope this has lifted the "fog" a little.
