I am just about to order parts for my 2240 from:
D&L aiguns inc.
19909 73A Avenue
Langley, British Columbia
V2Y 1R9
Canada.
I live in Quebec so I can,t order direct from Crosman.
Does anyone tell if they are reliable ?
Denis. |

You can also try:
http://www.scopesandammo.com
Parts not listed on their website, but they are probably the largest Crosman parts dealer in Canada these days, and generally cheaper on things.
D&L- don't know. |

D & L are in my opinion very reliable. However they don"t stock everything specially not 18" barrels for the 2240.
With Scopes and Ammo I'm a little leary firstly they don"t have much of an inventory and secondly their site does not provide a physical address in case of problems.
Regards.

There is an address for scopesandammo, you just have to look for it. If there are any "problems"- are you suggesting that any company would ship a product without a return address? Try contacting them, maybe you'll be surprised what you find.
As for "inventory"- who's been to any of the airgun vendors' warehouses? Just because something is listed on a website doesn't mean it's actually in stock. With D&L there is absolutely no indication of stock levels. Ever visit Amazon.com? Three quarters of what's listed is not actually in their inventory, half of it is in other stores warehouses, the other 25% doesn't exist.
It's this "I'm nervous about xxx because I haven't dealt with them before" that holds people and businesses back. If you really are curious- you could have asked about things like Zazo, or contacted them. Had a problem getting 18" barrels? Contact scopesandammo.com- maybe they have 18" barrels on the shelf and ready to go, but to just assume things based on, well, nothing hardly seems fair. |

My dealings with scopesandammo has been great. The guy who runs the place is very knowledgeable and runs a tight ship...
in my book... |

I guess you have to be grateful that everybody is not as self oppinionated and arrogant as AirGunEric.
I was only trying to help Zazu45. |

| I've only dealt with d&l. Great packagaing and extremly fast shipping. Prices seem to be a little above some other places. From order confirmation to my door in 30 hours but I only live about 50km away from their store. |

That is funny, actually. Why? The reason I may come across on this issue as "arrogant and opinionated" is because ScopesandAmmo is 20 minutes from your house and and as such are likely closer geographically to them than anyone else here. But, instead of really investigating a source not familiar to you, you rationalized how they likely cannot provide things based on reasoning that is flawed when compared to what is known about other vendors. When I had said earlier that they are likely the largest Crosman parts provider going in Canada these days, I wasn't joking.
Did they have 18" barrels in stock? |

For years I would not do business with Best Airgun because they had no physical address on their web site nor did they ever answer any of my e-mail inquiries as whether or not they had a particular rifle in stock.
Well, this summer they had a clearance special deal on KL-3B Fastdeers - rifle w/o front sight $19.95.
Figured I would give them a chance - a twenty dollar gamble - chump change. Ordered (2) - UPS at my door 3 days later with KL-3B's falling out of their boxes but unharmed. However, the rear sights were also absent. Sent Best Airgun a courteous e-mail re: absent rear sight.
Within 24 hours I had an e-mail reply that the situation was being rectified and an apology for their oversight. Within 48 hours the errant rear sights, in perfect condition were in my hands, again via UPS.
Will I do business with Best Airgun again? Yes, without hesitation, as they exhibited integrity and earned my respect.
First rule of "bidnes" - Caveat Emptor, but, I learned that if our airgun hobby is to flourish I (maybe we) need to give our suppliers a fair chance before passing judgement. I hope others learn from my mistake.
BTW, The rear sights were identical to a previous Norinco FastDeer from another source and identical to the rear sight on my Industry Brand QB-88. I guess "out sourcing" works both ways.
Hey swl, I'm more than 20 miles from Katmandu.

Hi guys.
Happy to repport that I did order my stuff from D&L and was VERY pleased.
Got: the stock, the 14 inches barrel and steel breech for my 2240.
Customer service was downright sweet and got my stuff in the mail in less than a week.
I did not get to do much shooting yet (it's winter and CO2 don't like that.)
but was very surprised how mich quieter the gun got. |
