Hi....Was haveing a clean out in the workshop today and draged out a old set of shop scales 50kgs "120lbs" I had a thought so I powered them up from a 12v bat and they work....Now could it be possable to make a impact meter for reading pellet impact "lbs"..remove the load cell and readout, mount a heavy plate to the load cell so you could shoot at it & use the tare weight read out so after the shot you would press the tare weight button to get the itare weight "impact pressure of the pellet"
once you know that and pellet weight you should be able to work out FPS.
What yer reckon possable?? |

I would be possible but you would probably need something like a peak reading meter on the end of it, as the pellet impact would be for only split second so you would need to record the maximum level of the impact.

I think your missing the point here Anton, this guys got this lump of junk in his workshop, and if he can make it into something usefull he's a winner and it's free.

ALSTONE.... You are most lightly right would need a peck reading will see what is around.
Broomaster...You are right it is easyer to buy one but anyone can buy a crony..I like to play around and build things. Always have always will, Sometimes they work sometimes they don't. More fun than watching TV at night. |

| kanyon, i would be inclined to think that it would work. and it would be very useful to know the impact weight for a given distance/pellet combination!! |
