Just wanted to poke my head up and say hello. You guys got a good site going here and Ill contribute if I can. Heres a litt back ground on me, I got into this sport about 1 year ago picked up a Gamo 640 for pest control then figured out it was not powerfull enough so did some research and got another Gamo, a .177 Viper with a scope. Then I found that there are other people just like me with this hobby I found a hole new world on the www. So after a couple months of reading forums and blogs I found that I needed a new gun This one was a RWS 350 .22 .Then I got a b30 in .22 and desided to do my own tuning . First was the Viper with all Maccari parts except I had to make a new rear guide to fit the new spring. I think Idid all right .Next was the b30 I think I did well. Then a lube job on the 350 all was great. But wait I need a new gun so I sold the 640 to help fund a new gun.About 3-4 weeks ago I went to Cobra Airguns store and got a RWS 350 pro compact .177,Ive allready done a lube tune to it. Now I need a new gun so I just sold my b30 and I think Im leaning twards a Talon but it will have to wait a little wile so I may change my mind. So that is it in a nut shell hope I did not bore you to much.
Thank you for your time.
Phil

NJphil,
Welcome to the forum! I've only been here myself since March, but I've learned a lot from this bunch. It seems like you jumped into the sport with both feet - I'm interested in hearing more.
Don't swett the spelling. Nun of us here is perfekt.
Post baby pictures and tell us stories! |

No problem with the spelling, but hit return after 3 or 4 sentences in a while. Thanks for contributing to this wonderfull world of wind weapons. We like em airsticks!
Sounds to me you're a proper airgunner, who started of with European junk, and ended up with a quality European rifle, but leaning towards a more or less american rifle. Sounds like you know what you're doing and I can't do nothing more then appreciating just that. I'm having a hard time realising what I'm doing myself sometimes: "looks at his pile of Crosman..."
In other words, welcome aboard! |

Welcome to the forum. Good choice on the Talon. They are
a very dependable and very accurate air rifle. They are
warrantied for life and well built.

| I'm the only other person on this forum who has a talon so I'm looking for a companion. |

No need to when you already have camouflage curtains! |

23ib0d0n,
Why does it look like your talon is doing that pistol missionary style?
I suppose I meant to say before that I was the only one with a talon SS |

This is a Mac1 TalonSS with the 25" HW barrel. Currently is setup with 4oz co2 tank and 12" SS barrel with laser for medium range corvidae duty . . .
Since the LD showed up this week, the Talon is likely to go back to 'long range' status, since shooting Kodiaks at 980fps for a few dozen shots on a 2500psi fill is pretty effective also.
May be doing some other truly wikkid things in the near future, but need to finish a few other projects that were derailed when the water system went ' belly up' again this month. |
