Here's a question can sombody answer, a mate of mine after seeing my QB78 decided to buy one himself, he bought it of the internet from a known supplier.

When it arrived it had a sticker on the butt saying "Warning this rifle is charged with Co2", and indeed it was, and there was about 20 shots worth of gas left, the capsuls in the gun where "Brass Eagle" which neither of us had heard of before, also the box that it came in had a photo of a QB78 on the front but on the end it said AR18.

This all sounds very strange to me supplying a gun allready charged with gas. The gun appeared to be new and was covered with anti rust gunge, and was in excelent condition.

Anybody heard of this before.

I do believe you must have some sort of "UK Special" Edition QB78. Here's one here:

I don't know why it's called an AR18- perhaps someone thought it funny to name it after the Armalite AR-18 assault rifle- which the QB78 does not look or function anything like.

Also seems odd it would come with Co² loaded in it! Was it test-fired before being shipped? Could your friend tell if the packaging had been opened before he received it? Some manufacturers do test-fire every gun before packaging it (like CZ/Slavia for example)- but I have never heard of someone leaving Co² in a gun, or the Chinese test-firing their products. Was there a test target (i.e. with holes already in it) in the box?

When my friend received the QB it was all packaged up as new, the sticker on the butt saying that the gun was charges with co2 was a printed sticker in red and white, unfortunately he as lost the sticker, there was no targets in the box.

The box is a standard QB 78 box but someone as wrote on it in felt tip "AR 18" then ".177" the 7s in .177 are crossed which is rare to see in the UK but common on the Continent, so I assume that the "AR18 .177" was put on either in China or the Continent.
