Here is an idea I was thinking about a while back and finally got around to trying it out...

I wanted to find a way to run HPA through my 2240 without risking my life in the process. I'm not going to get started on what is safe and whats not, your guns, your business. But I do not feel comfortable pressurizing the tube of a stock 2240, so this is what I wanted to avoid...

The solution...a powerlet eliminator

I drilled and shaped a hole for the powerlet eliminator connector to pass through, then also drilled a second vent hole above it. This way the tube is never pressurized, only the valve is, as was intended. In the event of a seal failure, or regulator failure and then seal failure, the air will bleed out the tube (scaring the crap out of me I'm sure Laughing ) instead of creating a bomb...

Did you make your own powerlet eliminator, or is someone out there making them again?

Joe (muzzlemack) has a really nice 22xx valve extension, which when coupled with a Disco fill adapter makes for a good setup as well.

I had that one kicking around, it looks like it may have come from Sniper, but I am not really sure...

I've heard of that valve extension, sounds/looks like a great idea...

Does this powerlet eliminator screw into the valve so there is no need for valve retention screws? I realize it would be safe if not fastened, however might be a pain to have POI change because of minor leak.

The powerlet eliminator is the same dimension as a Co2 powerlet, so it seals off the same way, no threads. Since I am running Co2 pressures via a regulated bottle; No, there is no need to secure the valve...

If someone were to run 2000PSI into, yes, it would be terribly unsafe. I would never push past 1200PSI, I know Co2 can hit 1800PSI on a real hot day, but I would not be shooting (or anywhere near) my stock 2240 if it had 1800PSI in the tube Surprised Shocked
