Breach lock Twinmaster

Yes I know another Twinmaster mod, but it does make a difference from the Holy Grail of air guns "Crosman" ? , and it add’s a bit of class to the forum, Ha Ha Ha.
Anyway the breach lock on a twinmaster works ok if you grip both sides to open and close but if you only your thumb on one side to open and close it the slide twists and does not locate properly, so I decided to make a better system that uses the barrel to hold the breach lock square so that it cannot twist.

I have used just a lathe for this project and anyone starting out in the hobby of turning may get some idea of the different ways a lathe can be used turning, milling, facing and boring ect,

The old breach lock it is joined to a similar finger grip on the other side by a single pin

The hard work, cutting a blank out of a piece of scrap.

Facing up the blank this is done on all faces

Cutting the radius on the base of the main block

Boring out main block to fit barrel

Setup for milling on a lathe

Milling out the finger groves on the side plates

The finished components

Close up of new unit fitted on gun

The finished article

Nice job. Unfortunately, not owning a Twinmaster- I can't offer an opinion on how annoying the stock breech lock can/can't be to open and close.

Oh- and seeing as how you own a lathe, with a milling block setup- get rid of the hacksaw-in-a-vise and get a bandsaw, you cheap SOB! j/k Crazy #2
