1) Target to download and print: Week 38; May/26/2008>Jun/01/2008

Print to full-size on an A4 or 8.5"x11" sheet of paper.
2) Shooting distance is 5m/16.4ft for pistols.
3) Shooting distance is 10m/32.8ft for rifles.
4) Any sighting device may be used.
5) NO rests or steadying aids are allowed.
6) 12 shots at the targets, 4 per g~hog maximum. 5 sighting/practice shots not on the clock using another print of the target.
7) 10 minutes total time (take whatever amount of time for each shot you like, but at 10 minutes-stop!).
8) Scoring is 1 points for black, 2 points for grey, 3 points for red, 10 points for green, and no points for white.
Touching the edge of a colour counts for points. Only 4 hits per g~hog count. Maximum point count is 120.
9) Scan or photograph entries to be posted. Please list gun, pellet, sighting device and total time expended.
10) You can enter using both a pistol and a rifle as separate entries- but all rules must be followed for each.
11) Score your own target. Winner and Runner-Up will be verified by board officials.
12) This is an honorable contest for sport- if you lie or cheat, you are the only one who really loses. Please keep it above-board!
13) Each competition runs from Monday to Sunday. Your entry must be posted in the forum no later than 23:00 GMT Sunday.
14) These rules are for this week's shooting competition and may change for others.

K....started of with the Phantom .22
Scored 23/120

Then my Custom 2240:
Scored: 40/120

I shot right to left. Pistol shoot may be questioable on the first, could be 20 or just a 10.

It was fun. Smile

Once again I shot at 5 yards due to Red Ryder innacuracy! LOL I don't time due to it being a repeater and I shoot so fast - maybe 2 minutes!

Hmmmmmm,.... let's try changing from a 10-meter target sub-six hold to a center hold like they do for silhouette.

5 meters, 1 hand, 7 minutes, IZZY, RWS Basic
62/120 ~ 50%!

Walther LPM-1 SSP
Pellet: R-10 Match wadcutter 7.0 gr
2-handed @ 5 meters
open iron sights
Time: 5 minutes
Total score: 79/120

It's really hard to hit around the edges to show all 4 shots. On the 3rd groundhog I hit in the green twice in the same hole but can't prove it so I took an extra shot and got a 2 instead!

billandbeaufort -

I haven't abandoned you - I'll catch you next week. We've had graduation parties, a quinceanera, and my son is working on a physics project that's due tomorrow. (He and two other kids are making a trebuchet for launching water balloons. So far the only ones getting wet are the gun crew.)

Well, this is a "target shooting" category -

The camera man (me) feels no danger standing downrange while his son is in command (the one looking straight up). And if the water balloon goes straight up, that means it comes back down........
