I recently just got back into air guns this year. It's been a while since I have shot any kind of fire arms and decides to purchase a mid grade .22 spring gun. After some research I decided to get the Mendoza RM-600 in the .22. Its a full size gun and the fact it shoots 950 fps in a .22 for only $165 I said why not. When the gun arrived I was anxious to zero in the scope and plink away. The first thing I noticed about the gun and a lot of spring guns is the left to right play in the barrel is not much at all but it annoyed me. I could get the gun to shoot well and consistent but could not get a good key hole shot @ 45 feet. So I cracked the barrel down sanded both sides of the barrel mount and put small welds using my welder on both sides and filed them down to basically nothing. Then opened and closed the barrel several times till it opened and closed smoothly. I know this is peaty much a jerry rig but it worked well the barrel had no play in it after that. Incredible only changing less than a thousands of a inch on the barrel it fired 2 inches to the left. In about 5 shots I zeroed it back in and what a difference it made. I could closely key hole shot after shot with the occasional half inch off @ 45 feet. I'm not saying you should try this but it worked for me. But besides what i did the Mendoza RM-600 is a great gun.

I'm not sure of what the blue circle represents when the fly appears to be the hole above the circle. And then I also wonder how you have the accuracy to shoot flies when the other pellet holes appear to be randomly placed and don't correspond to any target whatsoever. Unless you are putting one shot in and keyholing it. But there are more than one shots there. I don't know, seems strange.

I had 5 circles on the paper was using them to zero in the gun. You can see 1 2 3 the 3rd was during adjustment. I then moved to the top 2 ( that are not in the picture) for easy identification. Put a hole in all 5 then the fly took a seat above one. Thought it was a good test to see if it was on the money and then planked him. Did not think I needed to identify the fly kill with a circle looks obvious to me where he got hit. But I’m not trying to brag about my shooting ability. Anyone can shoot like that with a descent gun and practice. I was simply trying to show the accuracy of the gun for people that my be interested in picking it up.

Hell, I'd be happy to hit a quarter everytime at 10 yards with my guns. Don't matter now though. As you can see by my sig below, I'm sticking with the shotty so I can avoid the hassle of "aiming".

Speaking of shotguns that reminds me turkey season is here. I need to pick up a nice 12 gauge soon and go to the range and get usta them again.

Too bad airguns arent' legal on turkeys. Seems like they'd be a perfect gun for head shots on turkeys. Don't really need to range in the 12 guages though. Just point and shoot.
