Actually there is a difference in the energy of the .177 vs the .22. The .22 is about 12fpe while the .177 only gives around 9.6fpe with the standard valve. See the review at http://www.pyramydair.com/blog/2006/06/rws-850-airmagnum-part-2.html.
Also, for anyone interested, the AirSource bottle does screw directly into the valve on the 850 AirMagnum. |
