Hi all
I’ve been off line intermittently over the last week, the router was playing up so I was using dial up which kept dropping out, anyway were back up and running now.

I have had a few days up in Scotland shooting with a friend of mine, who I used to go shooting with before the government banned hand guns (powder burners). He had quite a few pistols and was totally engrossed in shooting, anything from 9mm to .45, so after the government bought all his guns and equipment off him he sold up and moved to Scotland, where he bought a small estate in the middle of nowhere and set up a rifle shooting club and shotgun repair service, so I was invited up for a few days shooting. So taking my TX and the wife off we went, the only to find out that he wasn’t in the least interested in airguns, all he had was Winchesters, 308 Steyr hunting rifles and an Enfield No.4 plus some shotguns, Most things are out of season at the moment except Fallow and Roe Deer, and as the weather was not very good I spent a bit of time on the indoor range mostly with a new Winchester 1873 .357, and he used my TX200HC and after a while he was out shooting me, so we changed around and it was my turn to out shoot him, this was at 35m and by the time we were ready to leave he had ordered a TX200, he though them ideal for hunting vermin and was quiet in use, although the two Steyr’s he had where silenced they where louder than the TX.

So another convert to the hobby and another invite later in the year, all in all a good week, I didn’t have my digital camera with me but I did have a 35mm camera, so when I get the film processed I will post some photos.

God! I did love that Winchester 357.

Al

Al and his Winchesters... Razz

Get your friend to come visit us around here now that you have him 'converted'! Maybe he can show us what vermin he's managed to get with his new airgun. Very Happy

There’s not much chance of that happening, his daughter as a computer with a dial up connection but he never goes near it, he doesn’t even have an email address, I have to contact him by phone. He’s a bit reclusive that’s why he moved up to Scotland when I said it was in the middle of nowhere I meant it, all the time I was there I never saw anyone else apart from him and his family and the use of the range is by invitation only. Crying or Very sad
