Do you have any photos of your Slavia?
Maybe a little info too. Like history of company,
evolution of products, performance of product.
Thanks.

Here you go:
Me with a Slavia 630,
Compared to a Gamo something something.
Technical Data:
Caliber:
4,5 mm/.177“
Full Length: ................................ 1150 mm
Barrel Length: ......................................... 530 mm
Weight: .............................................. 2,8 Kg (Without a scope)
Projectile Speed: ............................. 4,5 mm ~ 170 m/s (May increase with a good lubetune, and with a new spring. Mine is doing very consistent, slightly over 180 m/s, but I've seen one doing 220, which is supposed to be the power output of a 634. )
The 630 has been developed in a period, described by CZ (world famous, for it's quality and decent and reliable designs), from 1975 to 1988, or at least within that time. I recon that it became available in the early 90's in West Europe after the fall of the Soviet Union. I can't find any exact date on when production began. Might be after or before that previously mentioned fall.
There isn't much to tell about a Slavia. It does what it is ment to do, and it does it good. Great junior rifles, light to cock, easy to work on, and accurate enough to compete with a HW30S. A must have in your collection if you consider yourself a respectfull air rifle owner.
Finish of the stock is good. Blueing isn't all that great, and sometimes you get a little bit of machining stripes, but nowhere near as bad as some chinese rifles. |

Sounds interesting. I think that I'm going to look
around and try to acquire one.
Thanks for the info.

And a bit of a tip. Next time you might want to send me a PB, and open a topic on Slavia. I doubt that anyone is interested in a topic on Broommaster.
To bad I'm no mod around this sub-forum. |

What's a 'PB'?
I edited the title so there might be more responses from people- like the newer guy who has a pile of Slavia guns- and conveniently has the username "Slavia". |

This is my Slavia 631. It is really the same gun as the 630, with a larger stock. I believe the 630 opens in the traditional way, while the 631 has a barrel catch. There is a small coil spring for the trigger up inside, plus a leaf spring on the trigger guard. The leaf spring is adjustable on the 631. Otherwise parts are interchangeable.
The manual (available from CZ in .pdf format) rates velocity at about 575 feet per second. Mine gets 625 with silicone grease (with lots of twang) and about 605 with a thicker MDS grease (and no twang). If I don't get a 10 meter group the diameter of a pencil I'm doing something wrong.
The only plastic parts are the trigger guard and the barrel catch knob. The sights are stamped metal, but the rest of the gun is machine cut.
I agree with broommaster. For the price, this is an excellent choice (if the power level matches your type of shooting).
See http://home.hiwaay.net/~ispellan/Slavia631.html for more information about the gun and the manufacturer.

| And to be precise, I don't own "a pile of Slavia guns." Just a pile of other types that wish they were. |

Woops, I ment PM. PB stands for "Persoonlijk Bericht", meaning Personal Message. |
