I just finished weighing 12 tins of .22 Eun Jins and
25 tins of .22 Kodiaks and thought that I would post
the weight distribution of each model of pellet in this
batch.
Kodiak
Weight Number of tins
21.0 3
21.1 7
21.2 5
21.3 2
21.4 1
21.5 2
21.6 1

EunJin
Weight Number of tins
28.2 1
28.3 2
28.4 2
28.5 3
28.6 1
28.7 105 pellets

And the reject bag for way under and over weight
and damaged and/or faulty pellets.

First I cleaned them, then lubed them, weighed them and
then I used a counting scale to count them. It takes about
15 minutes to count out 7000 of them into 200 lots with a
counting scale. There is almost always 7-18 extra pellets in a tin.
You wouldn't believe how much more accurate your shot placement is,
shooting the exact same weight pellet every time. It eliminates
a lot of fliers. Same thing with powder burners.

With that giant bag of rejects- how many pellets were within an acceptable weight range, and how many were too far out? I'm wondering what the ratio of acceptable to non-acceptable is on these pellets (i.e. 1:2, 2:1, 4:5, etc.?)
I think that 1 lonely pellet of 29 grains is pretty funny, though.  |

There is usually 5-7 percent unusable pellets
in a batch. Most of those are either under or over
with usually about 10-20 physically damaged.
