1) Target to download and print: Week 28; Mar/17>Mar/23/2008

Print to full-size on an A4 or 8.5"x11" sheet of paper.
2) Shooting distance is 5m/16.4ft for pistols.
3) Shooting distance is 10m/32.8ft for rifles.
4) Any sighting device may be used.
5) NO rests or steadying aids are allowed.
6) 20 shots at targets, 1 per shape maximum.
5 sighting/practice shots not on the clock using another print of the page.
7) 15 minutes total time (take whatever amount of time for each shot you like, but at 15 minutes-stop!).
8) Scoring is 10 points for the gold, 3 points for black and no points for white. Touching the edge of a colour counts for those points. Only one hit per shape counts. Maximum point count is 200.
9) Entries need to be scanned or photographed and posted. Please list gun, pellet, sighting device and total time expended.
10) You can enter using both a pistol and a rifle as separate entries- but all rules must be followed for each.
11) Score your own target. Winner and Runner-Up will be verified by board officials.
12) This is an honorable contest for sport- if you lie or cheat, you are the only one who really loses. Please keep it above-board!
13) Each competition runs from Monday to Sunday. Your entry must be posted in the forum no later than 23:00 GMT Sunday.
14) These rules are for this week's shooting competition and may change for others.

Those yellow dots stand out very well against the black background. These are the the largest dots we have shot in quite a while. Smile
Steyr LP1, RWS pellets, 5 meters, 8 minutes, 186/200.

Another awesome score Woody.

Do you shoot any rifles? Was talking to a friend that went to the Atlanta olympics. He and his son qualified as 'independant' shooting pistol. He was saying something about not shooting rifles so well and I couldn't help but laugh. I told him "I've seen 'Mr been to the olympics' shoot and I ain't falling for that." So he said, "That was for pistol."

Uh huh . . . LMAO so you're sayin' you don't shoot a rifle better? Hmmm Sign rrriiigghhhttt . . .

I really do shoot a pistol better than a rifle. Maybe because I shoot a pistol much more than a rifle. I do like to shoot Cowboy Lever Action Silhouette and I shoot those targets with the air rifle, scaled for 10 meters.

Another note: As J. always posts up the rules in each competition post- I eliminated them from the main "Competition Page" and got things updated on the previous winners.

I tried to beat Woody61 but I failed badly.
I was using my Gamo Compact
standing offhands at 5 meters for 15 minutes+
and I only got 109 points out of a possible 200 points. Crying or Very sad
I don't think that it was my fault for the bad score,
it had to be a bad batch of pellets Rolling Eyes

Looks like Woody61 provides a sound thrashing again this week, followed up by DW36

Certainly makes my paltry 68 rather unimpressive Shocked
