What are some pros and cons of each in the following categories:

Pistol/Rifle:
Small Game Hunting
Plinking
Match
Informal Target
Silhouette
Rapid Fire
Other (Please specify)

Also, which do you tend to prefer in what type of gun and for what purpose?(Please explain in detail.)

Thankyou for your input.

Air is stable. A higher power can be achieved. It's more expensive for starters.

CO2 lasts longer, but is also heavier. Also cheaper and more affordable.

Small Game Hunting
pcp= more power, more consistancy, not affected by temperature
C02= can be cheaper, less to carry

Plinking
PCP= can be cheaper, more consistant
Co2= can be cheaper, less work, less to carry

Match
PCP= more consistant
Co2= cheaper and consistant enough when indoors and spacing your shots

Informal Target
same as plinking and match

Silhouette
same as plinking and match

Rapid Fire
PCP= valve wont freeze up when fireing rounds in rapid succession. $$$$$
Co2= valve freezes up do to expanding Co2 being really cold. usually alot cheaper.

Other (Please specify)
PCP= cost alot more to start up with, cheaper to shoot if you use a hand pump on par +\- if you use a scuba tank to fill with.
higher powers attainable, bulkier fill equipment.

C02
cheaper to start
dependant on temperature
fill equipment is usually smaller

Also, which do you tend to prefer in what type of gun and for what purpose?(Please explain in detail.)

Thankyou for your input.

If your goal is power, you are bound to end up with a PCP.
