I just bought (my first) air rifle. I obviously didn't do my research well enough and was disappointed that my rifle is a single shot. Are there rifles that have magazines for 177 and 22 Gage pellets? I bought a Beeman spring load with interchangeable barrels. It seems to work very well. |

Most rifles that have magazines are either PCP operated or vastly less powerful.
Bit of trivia- they're 177 and 22 caliber. Caliber is a measurement related to inches. Gauges are equal to the number of lead balls of that bore diameter that add up to weigh a pound (kind of arbitrary) :P |

Thanks for your reply Toadmyster233. I figured that was the case but I'm still "pumped" about this rifle. |

Toadmyster223 is right. Repeaters will probably be CO2 or PCP, and they will probably be on the high(er) or lower end of the price spectrum. In between is single shots.

Not arbitrary at all if you want to know how many round balls you can get out of a pound of lead, but then that concern hasn't really been important for the last century or so. At one time both rifled and smoothbore barrels were described by "gauge." It only persists now in shotguns. |

Like I said, arbitrary. Hahaha |
