First off, Hey!
I've been doing some searching for the last few days, online mostly.
Anywho we have a big problem with the local wildlife since our outside cats died.
So I need to find an air pistol/rifle that could potentially take down ground hogs, skunk, possums.
I really like the design of the 2250B
http://www.pyramydair.com/p/crosman-2250b-air-rifle-skeleton-stock.shtml
Great price for me too.
My requirement are something accurate enough to shoot about 20yds+ or less.
Something that won't be too loud. My neighbors are perfectly aware of our on going pest problem around our area. And we're pretty far out in the country. But I don't want something that will be too loud.
And preferably something under or around $100.
As far as performance and looks go.
I would like to put some type of sight on it. A laser/scope for fun at the local range.
Possibly different barrels.
I love my hobbies, and I can't stand to keep things stock.
So I guess a good base gun with lots of useable upgrades is inline.
I've read that there are lots of good upgrades for the 2250, but I don't know what I can use and where to get parts....
Should this gun be okay?
Should I pick something else?
Thanks In Advance

I don't know that I'd want to shoot groundhogs and skunk with a 2250- just not as much power as you can find in other, cheap .22s. Any of the Crosman guns have parts available- many of them directly from Crosman in Bloomfield, New York.
Other choices to suit your purposes might be the Crosman 2260 or the Crosman Quest 800.
If you are willing to spend closer to $200- there becomes a much larger group of possibilities- one thing to remember with most Crosman airguns these days- they are often "fixer uppers" right out of the box.
And, Welcome to AirGunHome.com! |

alright, So I've noticed lately the little buggers are moving farther and farther out into the field.
I really do have use for a longer range gun.
Is there a brand or specific item that I could use for this?
I'm not stuck on crosman for any reason.
I'm seeing your $200 mark a lot more, which kinda stinks. But I need to get rid of these guys before the holes cause damages to the horses.
Also I try to do a lot of "hunting" at night.
So is there a way to mount a light or something else?
Also I could step up the power obviously, as long as it not too loud.
Or I could fit a supressor to a rifle right?? |

if you are looking for a randed gun than - $200 ag is not for you
for any decent range you need something like a condor but i reccomend a .22rimfire...
up to about 35 yards a tuned up 2260 or 2250 will be good for a woodchuck you just need to get in a good range i have s tuned 2240...well more of a 2250 now,.. that kills chucks so i would get a 2260 and tune it up without a scope it'll be a great hunter for the game you listed |
