A Sam Yang 9mm has been on my short list for a while.

Tell us all about your new gun as you break her in.

Bob, Haven't shot it yet, how ever here are my impressions so far. Stock, Dark Walnut is VERY NICE. The gun seems to fit me very well. You know But to shoulder, arm reach etc. The 909S is the single air cylinder model so the weight is less than the dual cylinder model and the weight seems light. Balance is excellent so the rifle seems lighter than I was expecting by quite a bit. Going to the range with it in about 5 hours if it doesn't start raining. will let you know how it does there.

Hi Bob. I got the 909S to the range this morning. WOW! This gun is LOUD! It shot really well. Think I am going to love this gun. Next time some powder shooter opens his ignorant mouth with "you'll shoot your eye out" I will just break this big boy out and shut him up. Get one!

Hi again Bob. Did not have much time this morning. Had to leave for some tests at the hospital. So here is a little more info on this shoot. Shot 15 180gr. rounds at 50 yrds with what I think were good results. Open sights, bench shoot, with no rest put all 15 rounds within a 4 1/8" circle. 9 of the 15 were within 2 3/4". Temp was only in the mid 30's so figure in a body chill factor also. As I said before I really like this gun! not only looks great but seems to shoot very nice also! If there is something I would change about it, it's the rear sight. It is mounted way forward on the gun. up on the barrel. Seemed harder for me to get a good sight focus with it that far away from my eye. Going to take it off and mount the rear sight from my Hatsan Galatian, Rail mount, on it. Let you know how that works out at a later date. If you have any specific questions let me know. I always like to get all the information I can before dropping that kind of money on something.

Bob, Looked up your 9mm (.357) Recluse at Pymd. Is that the gun you are looking at? Looks the same as my .45. Higher FPS and more shots per fill of course because of the smaller caliber but I think you will be happy with it. Do you plan on hunting with it or target shoot. Either way or both I will bet you will love it.

I am not really sure. I have some vague notions of buying the single tube, and bottling it. Its more along the lines of I just want it. LOL.

More than likely I'll just punch paper with it.

Most of my hunting is wing shooting dove, quail, and ducks with the occasional predator hunt. I was really interested in Bob's Hayabusa shotgun project.

I might take the Recluse along on setup predator hunts, but predator shots here in the desert rarely come in under 100 yards. Its just barely doable with my .22 mag powder burner, but a 223 or a 22-250 is the round of choice. I just picked up some Savage take off barrels in 223, 22-250, and 308. My airgun projects are probably going to go on the back burner while I learn to make bolt receivers out of 4140 prehard.
