I was corresponding with a gentleman in Connecticut a few months ago about air pistols.
I told him about a .22 cal. Marauder that I have. I bought it for my pest control business,
but it is just not up to the job in power and accuracy.
He was complaining about a .25 cal. AF Talon pistol that he was dissatisfied with, mainly
because it was too loud and only a single shot.
After a while he suggested that we trade temporarily. I used this large pistol on three
nasty jobs and three coyotes and one badger later I was
hooked. This thing really kicks butt out to 70-80 yards. The accuracy is way
more than adequate due to the LW barrel, and it being a single shot.
The Talon is only $45 more than the Marauder when new so I sent him the
Benjamin with $45 and he sent me the Talon.
I simply can not believe the power of this pistol. The accuracy is typical
AF. More than adequate for pest control. The trigger is much better too.
I think that all that I am going to change is a bigger reservoir, an 18"
barrel and a suppressor. |

I think that number is a bit off- in 25cal the Talon pistol maxes out at 47fpe (but the Marauder pistol is only about 15fpe). |
