Thanks for all the neat replies, very useful.
I'm just addicted to shooting and accuracy is primo to me.
I'm looking into the P17 and would be be surpsrised if I didn't order it tonight from Pyramyd Air. |

I did indeed order it. For a few pennies shy of $30 bucks I could not pass on this P17 especially after you fine fellows recommended it so highly.
What pels do you find work well with this pistol?
I have a lot of different brands & wieghts of .177 pels and only 1 a.g. in that caliber.
I also ordered more JSB and H&N pels in .22 for my rifles. |

Mine isn't pellet picky, either. I keep Crosman Premier hollow points in the case with the gun. It's the gun I take travelling, and the CPHP's are available at just about any Walmart.

Wow. You set that a.g. up really nice.
Red dot, light, bi-pod, & what is the gizmo where the hammer would be?
A cocking aid?
What do you shoot with it, targets, plink? |

I replaced the rear sight with a bubble level, and the "hammer" does indeed have extensions. I use it mostly for plinking - it kind of evolved over several years. It's comfortable to shoot, but nearly impossible to holster. Your factory-fresh model will shoot just as straight. |
