I am, and always have been, a Plinker, with no precision targeting skills or requirements for an airgun that would deliver them. All I need is a rifle that would allow me to drill aluminum cans and plastic jugs in my backyard range at 25 to 50 yards. "Beer Can Sniping" with a rifle that will do the job out to 50 yards is what gives me the most enjoyment, and my two .22 cal springers do just that, at 16 and 18 FPE. I do it all of the time. I make up my mind that I want a certain item only to change my mind at the last moment. I'm a lousy shot with a pistol. I ended up selling them, and with a couple exceptions sold them for less than I paid for them. It is all part of the hobby/ addiction. Right now I'm fighting the urge to buy a Crosman Challenger 2009..... Almost all of my shooting is at 30' in my basement, so the Challenger would be a good choice for me. It's just that I have an 853 that shoots better than I can and hasn't been shot much lately. So I just can't bring myself to add the Challenger to my collection of airguns that don't get shot enough. I'm hoping my current project keeps me distracted and away from Amazon.... _________________ Too many projects to list.
