As always, he brings .22 ammo for my wife and .223 ammo for me. Judy got a brick of .22 LR and I got another 100 rounds of .223. Since he does this every year, I thought it was time to give him something, so I gave him my 52-year-old 1962 Sheridan Blue Streak pneumatic pumper and some .20 cal ammo. The Sheridan had recently been overhauled and is in pristine condition. I bought it new after my discharge from the Army in 1962. So now I have a gap in my 4-rifle rack, and was considering a single-pump pneumatic (like the Daisy .177 cal model 953), just for short-range plinking in my 53-yard backyard range, using my movable target sled. Nice thing about it, is that it automatically indexes the clip for the next shot, no fumbling around moving it with your fingers. Load up a few clips and your good to go for 25 shots (5 round mags). It's a side cocker springer, and has been very reliable, they even included an extra higher power mainspring with it. It's the IZH 61 by Bakial. Cheers, WADCUTTER HAL I know what you mean, it is a futuristic looking little gun and a little odd. For the money, it is however a very accurate, precision functioning air gun. I don't see too many other models that are springers, with the self indexing clip, it's a very nice feature, and I would like another one with it perhaps with a more traditional styling myself. See my later post. You're right; there aren't many single-stroke pneumatics out there...only the Daisy 953, 853, and 753.
