i am going to mount my 4x32 scope on my beeman, but it came with rings that clamp to the receiver. i was wondering with the recoil would a 1 piece be better? what type of base and rings would be good but not too expensive? or would the 2 rings with clamps do ok? thanks

I have ALL my scopes mounted with standard rings. I don't have a problem with any slippage or anything but I do have everything blue loctited in, including the stop screws. You know which ring has the stop screw in it right? It's the one with the hole pointed straight down intoo the gun. It is very important to have that in. If not, your scope will shift all over the place. There is a matching hole in the receiver. Just make sure that is in snugly. but not so tight as you are pushing up on the ring and just finish putting it al together. It should hold up with no problems.

OddTodd out

I recently mounted an RWS one piece scope mount, complete with a few degrees of "barrel droop" compensation. Best 27 bucks I could have spent on my Vantage NP. Scope hasn't budged, which it used to do after only twenty shots or so. I did have to grind on the mount a bit to make it fit my rifle properly, but that was a small price to pay for a scope that stays zeroed!

As long as the Beeman has a stop-pin hole and the rear ring has a stop pin to put in the hole, you should be fine.

Instead of a stop pin beemans have a plate screwed to the top that the scope mount sits against. It works just as well.

Hey- weren't you the guy in the prior post talking about a stop-pin hole?

Not on a Beeman. I was talking about my Titan. It was Tommytanker that was shearing stop pins.

Oh sure, drag me into it Mr. Green

Yes indeed in a past life an IGT Stalker did shear a stop pin.

I have a Quest that has a stop plate screw program. I like it.

...something I should mention is that since mounting said scope (the bundled 4x36) to the RWS one piece, I've broken two scopes (broken reticles). Seems that the one piece mount transfers a little more shock to my crappy scope than the crappy two-ring system did?...oh well.
