Actually Slavia I was thinking of gluing the hook part of the velcro to wood blocks and sticking them to the polar fleece so I could move them to fit the different rifles I have. I've yet to find a case that my 2400 custom will fit into. Not to mention, my beeman is LONG. A good 6 inches longer than any other rifle I own. Plus let's not forget the thumbhole stock of my titan. I just want this to turn out right the first time because I don't have much money to spend. Actually I'll be scraping to do it. And when you are talking construction foam you are talking the blue stuff right? THe extruded foam and not the beadboard? I hope it's not bead board because it is so hard to work with. |

Guitar case for acoustic guitar. Bass Guitar for larger rifles. Briefcase for handguns. I lived in a crappy neighbourhood in Tacoma, WA and those are what I used to go to and from the range. |

I once was asked by a stranger on the street if my KK-Air gun case (49"x16"x4.5" constructed of .080" sheet aluminum with welded corners) contained a guitar--I said yes.
Recently, I too, considered how to transport firearms in a nondescript case. The KK-Air case is very square--Why couldn't it be used for an electric guitar? So, I asked a musician friend what the most recognizable name in electric guitars is (in the US), and he said "Fender". Then I found a Fender logo online and printed it on some large (about 8.5"x5.5") self adhesive mailing labels. To give them a glossy finish, I ran them through a laminator. Finally, I cut smooth curves around the letters with a scissors and stuck them on the case --WOW! It looks real enough to fool anyone. |

Well, I went the other way. After I built my case and sanded it up real nice and painted it with bed liner. I put DeWalt on mine. lol |

I have a gun case made by Plano that looks just like a black keyboard case. If you put some music company decals on it, like Yamaha or Casio, it will fool the old bats.
