I have a break back Diana air pistol ( German Made) which I bought in 1948. It was second hand and it appeared to be some years old even then.
It was by far the most powerful and accurate gun around at that time and could eat Weblys for breakfast. It has a rifled barrel which I think helped in that respect.
I have just contacted a company which is interested in purchasing this gun, but they are asking me how much I want for it. Frankly, I have no idea what to say?
Any ideas would be a great help. |

I PM'd him with a link to a pre-WWII Diana Model 5. Same model number as the second gun pictured totally different. If you know what a Slavia pistol looks like (or the recent cheap Chinese break barrels), that should be close since those are both copies of the old Diana. |

I never posted that I PM'd him, so how could anyone know? The thing which differentiates this pistol from other, later Diana's is he said he bought it around 1948. I don't think Diana was even making air guns shortly after WWII.
And, at least, you offered some help. Plenty of posts go unanswered. |

I have tried to send more info earlier today but it seems that it has not gone through. Her goes again.
Gun bought in approx 1948/49 in well used condition so is much older for sure.
Stock is original and good colour and patina.
When bought by me the stock was hollowed out from the bottom and plated over for ammo storage ?
Needs re-blueing, I lost the backsite and replaced it with a BSA rifle site (almost identicle) which is a loose fit.
lThe leather washer between the barrel and breech is missing, a new one will fit easily into the prepaired groove. |
