I let my Benjamin Blue Streak in .22 set for a couple of months and now it will not hold any air. When I pump it the air escapes out the end of the barrel. I am a total idiot when it comes to this gun, and only now after doing some research realize that I should have let it set with one pump of air in it. Anyhow, how can i fix this problem? I would appreciate any help from guys who know their way around this gun.

Thanks.

Valve seal is probably warped from sitting. Would need to be replaced.

Could also be the valve and/or hammer spring broken (probably not).

Try to cock it, then pump.

It is internal to the valve- so your only answer is to remove it and see what's going on- probably a piece of crap holding the plunger open- although Frtiz's idea of a broken spring is also a good possibility.

Thanks for the reply's. The hammer spring is not broken, so it must be the exhaust valve. How do you take it apart to check that?

I meant valve seal, not exhaust valve. Cheez!
