They're pretty funny looking. They have one down
at the local gun shop. The owner is pretty pissed off
about it too. It seems that they failed to state that it
has a PLASTIC covered barrel, so that they can cut
costs by using a tiny soda straw size barrel covered
with plastic to make it look bigger.
It was stated elsewhere, in another thread that gamos
are far superior in quality to B26s. As far as I know BAM
have never used plastic on their B26/2 barrels to dupe
people into thinking that they are getting higher quality
item then they actually are.
Also, their marketing pratices are questionable at
best. They try to con the public into believeing that
these poorly made, plastic and sheet metal, 12-18 fpe
airguns are putting out big energy. I for one, will not
support their dishonesty by purchasing any of their products.
If I want a inexpensive airgun I will look elsewhere. They
offer NO parts support either.
Quite honestly, I don't know why any well informed adult
would consider, such poorly built, out of sheet metal and
plastic fall-a-part kid toys. |

I'm not sure about the sheet metal, where did you get that idea?
The steel used on Gamo rifles lacks a certain quality, but that doesn't mean it breaks down. I do think that the plastic on their barrels is just bad looking. If you look at it close enough, you see the finish sucks T-rex cloaca. You just don't want that. |

I did. I thought you were referring to the rifle as a whole. That wouldn't make sense. |

The poly bull barrel is actualy not such a bad idea... I does reduce the harmonics and impoves accuracy...
Gamo's failure was using the soda straw barrel on a brake barrel to begin with. Even with the poly it is not realy all that ridgid. |

Hey I'm sold. I'm going out to the shop right
now to try to figure out a way to encase all of
the barrels on my guns with cheap plastic.
Especially the Condor. It will be a big improvement
over the hardened, brushed and blued cro-moly steel
look. I can't wait to see how cheesey it looks. |

Enough of this gay banter (gay in the old sense
of course). |

Now boys. Don't make Eric go cut a switch for both of you.
Anyway, Gamo plastic = s***
They break(like most gamos) and they are not worth having.
Agreed? |

I wouldn't call them feces (sh!t). They have their place.
I just wouldn't compare them favorably with a gun made
with superior materials and of superior design. |

Agreed... back to my original statement in this thread... Having a non resonate thick rigid barrel liner is meant to improve accuracy and reduce harmonics... Gamo just went "Cheap" using the soda straw barrel...
If they were to use a heavier gauge steel barrel and have a nice blued steel shroud over the poly for aesthetic purposes... I would not complain about the "Barrel". Now the rest of the gun... Can we all say "Budget and Marketing?"
CW and my banter has gone on for a long time… It is just the way we are and never to be taken personally…
He just misses me… I have been working too hard and not here to razz him…

Hi...My boys Gamo Delta fox has a rubber sheaf over the barrel
but the barrel under it is a real barrel.
Thought it was a good idea for a kid as they never
look after things and stops the blueing being damaged
on the barrel anyway. |
