How to separate the stock from the 1077(w)
Here is the list of tools you will need to be able to do this:
1. Philips Screwdriver.
OK!!
Step 1:
Remove the Magazine from the rifle, You will need to do this or the stock will simply not be able to be removed.
Step 2:
Take your screwdriver and unscrew the three screws from under the stock, Remember that the larger bolt is from the front.
Step 3: Now gently ease the Stock away from the rest of the Rifle
Hope this helps, Though it's not exactly rocket science!!

I was kinda joking on that- but if you can do it- that would be a fantastic resource for people- especially those that get the "non-QC'd" versions from Crosman |

It would be even cooler if you could get the measurements from all of those parts. I might be able to get them refabricated in metal at my school if I get those measurements.
I'd need em in Millimeters and Centimeters though.
On the rest, I'd say that thing is just as easy to remove from the stock as the AM-850. |

Hi Broom
Sorry about the very late reply.
So what measurements do you want?? Don't worry I work in metric measurements so you should be fine
And as for what AirGunEric said about "those that get the "non-QC'd" versions from Crosman" I think he means every Crosman gun
Also, The next Part will be posted very soon when I will be disassembling the whole gun.

All plastic parts would be a nice start. I'm hoping to get those metal parts fabricated with someone I know from school. This guy has everything.
He can reproduce most parts out of any kind of metal you want. I doesn't cost me a lot, since he uses a lot of left over materials, but the largest leftover materials I've seen where the size of a brick. That should be enough.
The magazine will probably be one of the hardest parts to reproduce. |

Hi Broom!
I think the housing for the main mechanism will be the most hardest to reproduce in metal as well.
I will be getting these measurments to you soon as I will be taking the Rifle completly apart for the next Parts 2: Disassembling and Reassembling the whole gun on wendsday.

That would be great.
Is there an actual copy-right on airguns or guns in general? |

Copyright laws can't be applied to any sort of manufactured product except those containing "programming" i.e. like microchips that contain "intellectual property". Patent infringement can be applied to manufactured products- but Crosman doesn't hold any Patents on the type of technology used in its airguns- nothing is so specific to their product that a patent has been, or is likely to be, granted- if they've ever even tried to make an application.
The point- copying their parts isn't actually "stealing" or otherwise doing anything illegal. If you represented them as Genuine Crosman parts- that would be a problem. If you made assertions about them that weren't true- i.e. "Approved by Crosman" or "using this part will not affect Crosman warranty status" you could have problems. Look at all the guys making steel breeches for different airguns- no legal issues. Look at automotive parts as an even more common and easy to see example- how many aftermarket brake parts manufacturers are there? Radiators? Engine parts? etc. etc.
If you wanted to be absolutely safe- when you make such parts, change something- not something that will affect the performance/use of the part significantly- but something that is different enough that nobody could say you copied/replicated Crosman's part 100%- i.e. leave out the slot for the hammer latch pin (which does virtually nothing significant anyways) or change the screw mount hole locations to close the casing, or engrave your name in it somewhere ("Broomaster's 1077 Custom Breech" or what-not. |

Well, that makes sense. I was just checking though.
I don't think the law in our country is really that much interested in tuned airguns. |

I can't speak for each specific country, but Copyright laws are one of those things that a relatively generic- an "International" law that transfers across boundaries within countries in agreement. I just don't know which 'body' would cover such an agreement- The U.N.? The WTO?
And no, Copyright violation is also not a ""criminal activity"- it is a civil issue where someone/something could be sued. What any country does in respect to Copyright law is much irrelevant until someone has a lawsuit filed against them by the entity holding the copyright- but police are not going to be showing up at anyone's door to kick it in! |

Besides, in my country it's something for judges to say: "stop wasting my time with something so trivial." and then that's usually it. |
