Progressive lenses are not too good for iron sight shooting. Get a good red dot if you don't want a regular scope. But a good scope is your best bet! All the paint in the world isn't gonna help! And y ...

I did get the iron sights on the R-9. I just have a hard time getting a sight picture with them - there is no contrasting dots or anything - just steel.

I have a Beeman R9 springer. I didn't get the scoped version cause I wanted to shoot from iron sights for a while. Problem is that the sights are not real visible -

Yeah, seems like a good deal but I'm a bit concerned about fewer user reviews. Sometimes that can meen that it isn't doing well in sales for whatever reason.
