Nice mod from Phil!

That mod from the ratkill site makes me nervous. The 850 AirMagnum wasn't designed to handle the pressure he is putting through it!

Thank you Cristi! That is a great link!

The differenence with the project on my blog is that I'm not satisfied with the performance of a simple HPA conversion. I am trying to figure out what modifi ...

For anyone interested, I've started a blog on the subject of using air to power things. In it I am covering the conversion of an RWS 850 AirMagnum to PCP Smile .

No problem. I assume you mean the stainless steel adapter. It is a custom adapter that I made. It is made out of a piece of 5/8" diameter, stainless steel round bar. The metal stock was T-416 ro ...

I'm sorry for the confusion! I was using the term "air cylinder" for "air reservoir." I think the other part of the confusion is about the valve. I believe there is a regulator AND ...

I don't think they will sell different air reservoir versions, the guns would just have different valves. Like the two valves available for the Umarex 850 (the standard valve and the 16 joule export v ...

I agree that a regulator is unnecessary, but that threaded section is brass and doesn't look long enough for the strength needed to hold 4350 psi. That is why I suspect a regulator is built into the a ...

Yah, it looks that way. I'm surprised they used brass for the valve! That brass piece that goes into the air cylinder also doesn't have a very long threaded section. The cylinder will hold 300bar/4350 ...

You are fortunate! I've been thinking about getting the valve at http://www.waffenostheimer.de/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=1742 to see what they did to improve it.

I'm sure the Walther Dominator 1250 has at least a different valve and hammer spring than the 850. It might also require a heavier duty hammer. One day, when I get braver, I might open the action on m ...

Actually there is a difference in the energy of the .177 vs the .22. The .22 is about 12fpe while the .177 only gives around 9.6fpe with the standard valve. See the review at http://www.pyramydair.com ...

Thanks,

I'm not familiar with how the AirSource screws into the 1077, but with the 850 Airmagnum, there is an o-ring that seals around the outside of the AirSource's smooth section (before the threads). I was ...
