rsterne, I was afraid that would be the advise. Is the larger diamiter to stop any air from going around the sides of the pellet when fired or just required if the internal diamension of the barrel ...

Thanks guys. I am OK on the droop then but the barrel just drops down from its oun weight. Needs to be tightened. Thanks again for the advise.

What is "droop"? Also how tight should the barrel be attached to the rest of the air rifle? Thanks, very new and wanting to learn.
