No, I think 10.5 is perfect. Crosman makes a Premier Heavy that is 10.5 and a good pellet. And cheap enough.

There are no non-lead pellets that are heavy enough to get the fps down to what you want. Using a heavy lead pellet will accomplish it, but .177 cal pellets only go to 11.5 gr. So if they're not heavy ...

I'm wondering if the "locking ball" (I don't know what the real name for it is) is missing ? It looks like the ball locks under a little portruding piece and locks the barrel after cocking ...
