By using an electronically controlled Co2 tube heater I can shoot winter or summer at 800 fps down to 3deg F

Don’t worry about it all decent Red Dot sights are rated for airguns, in fact more are sold for then than firearms.

Bought on of these a while back Umerex Colt 45, And I must say they are a lot of fun, I can hit a beer can at 50 ft most of the time. The output is around 2 fpe and quite adequate for garden plinking. ...

If you make the magazine holed bigger the pellet could slid forward and jam the magazine, this in turn strip the indexing lugs. Don't do it!

I use a .22 cal Crossman 2240 pistol for dispatching pigeon's with great success after being brought down with a rifle.
